Well, I was just walking around the house with not much to do when the idea came to go shopping. I usually like to wander to TJ Maxx or into a wine store or even the garden store. But, today I headed out to Whole Foods. I never go to the store. It is out of the way and full of people. Today I went with no time limit I even got a great parking spot. My first impression of the store was WOW look at how beautiful it is laid out. As I stood there smiling in a Friday afternoon haze I was suddenly jolted out of my gourmet day dream by a rude shopper. I spun around to see who could bump me like that with out saying excuse me but in my eye sight was just the lettuce guy smiling back at me and asking if I needed any help. I carried on through the store walking up and down each aisle. Looking and learning about the products the store carried. I kept looking around with a huge smile on my face hoping to strike up a conversation with some willing soul. Hmpf no takers... I headed to the meat department, surley there was a handsome butcher waiting to take my order. Nope, no smiling man. no how are you doing miss. how is your day. what can I get you dear.. Nope nada nothing. Across the counter was a transgender with a huge attitude. she wore pink lipstick and foundation which actually was a really nice shade. Maybe I should have asked her what makeup line she uses.....
Anyway I got my beef at $18.99 a pound and carried on however not without asking the butcher are you having a good day? Her responce "ya you have a good day too." No I said Are you having a good day . "Oh, yeah thanks" the butcher said. Well I figured it was a great way to spend Friday at 1pm but, I won't make a habit of it I love my local market Lunardies the people are super friendly. I can buy all the organics I need and the butchers, they serve with a smile.
